Further Information Expand

Background
The Victorian Government is providing a $26.2 million suite of initiatives aimed at supporting teachers specialising in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and the delivery of the Vocational Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) to senior secondary school students.

One of these initiatives is for the design, development, and delivery of a professional learning program to 235 VET trainers over an 18-month year period. The professional learning program aims to equip trainers with the skills required to design and deliver VET in Schools programs to meet the needs of vocational students. VDC is partnering with the Department of Education and Training to design and deliver this program.

Participant notes for the Program
Participants will also be supported with learning materials via the Department’s Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). Once enrolled, you will be sent an email with your Canvas learning management system (LMS) login details. It is expected that some course reading and/or online activities (no more than 30 minutes) will be required for each stream of training.

This program has been funded by the Department of Education and training so there is no costs involved for participants to register.

Industry Currency
You may also be interested to attend specialised one day industry forums or the VET Industry Conference which are being delivered to VET Trainers as part of the Industry Placement Program. Further details can be viewed here.
